Survival server
Getting Started

A lot of features we use on our servers are triggered by ‘commands.’ This basically involves typing a specific instruction after a ’/’ to tell the game what to do. For example, if you typed the command ‘/spawn’ the game would transport you to spawn.
In game, there are commands you can type to get different pieces of information:
/rules - see the Minecraft Server rules
/tutorial - be taken to this website

The Survival world resets every 9-12 months. When this happens, you are able to spectate the old world on our server, or you can download a copy of the old world so you can play it privately if you would like to! You can download all past worlds here: https://info.spectrumgaming.fun/worlds

The current survival world has these features:
(more in depth info further down the page!)

-
Players will keep their inventory on death by default, but if you choose to live more dangerously you can switch it 'off.' This will mean graves are spawned in for 15 minutes where you die that contain all your items. The command to switch it off is /keepinventory off and the command to switch it back on again is /keepinventory on

-
When spawning in for the first time players are given a ‘starter kit’ with some basic tools, weapons, armour and food. There will also be some NPCs around spawn that will offer items as you begin if you interact with them.
-
You can teleport back to spawn, the nether hub and the shopping district with the commands /spawn /nether and /sd (there is a 10 second delay between using /spawn, /sd and /home (/home explained in more detail below))

-
You can request to teleport to another player, or send a request for someone to teleport you to them. The commands are /tpa and /tpahere

-
Players have access to the command /wild once a day, allowing you to teleport to a completely random place on the server (ideal for finding space for a new base or looking for rare resources)

-
You can use posing commands! Simply type in any of the following commands to make your avatar pose: /sit /crawl /spin/ bellyflop

-
After killing the Ender Dragon there is a 5% chance it will drop the Ender Dragon Egg (i.e. a 1 in 20 chance)
-
You can set your “home” meaning you can do the command /sethome and then teleport back to your home with the command /home - you can have up to 5 'homes'.
-
The server difficulty is set to 'Normal' most days of the week, but will change to 'Hard' difficulty on Saturdays. When the server is set to ‘Hard’ difficulty hostile mobs will deal more damage, there is a higher chance of mobs spawning with armour, your hunger bar goes down quicker, zombies have a 100% chance of converting villagers, zombies break down doors and can spawn in reinforcements, you are more likely to encounter pillagers, and spiders can spawn with a status effect (E.g. strength or regeneration etc.).

The Shopping District
General Info:

The Shopping District has 3 distinct areas for shops:
-
A ‘PLOTS’ area, where players will get a 24x24 block shop space in close proximity to lots of other shops.
-
An open ‘FREE BUILD’ area where players can build a larger or bespoke shop design (There needs to be at least 20 blocks between each shop)
-
A ‘MARKET HALL’ with lots of densely packed market stalls in which each player can only have 6 ‘shops’ to sell their best or most requested items.

Every player is allowed one Shopping District Plot, one Free Build Shop, and one Market Stall each.
PLEASE NOTE: Staff will only be able to give out plots/stalls the day *after* opening. Plots are claimable starting 13th August (When you are online, ask staff to give a plot or keep an eye out on discord announcements for plot claiming sessions and times).

More rules about the Shopping District can be found on our >rules page<

If you want to know how to set up a shop to trade with others, click on the 'selling' tab to read more.

Chest Protection
Basic Info:
You can easily unlock and lock objects by typing the command /lock or /unlock and then clicking on the object.

Once an object is locked you can hold shift and left click on the object OR type /protect and left click which will bring up the settings menu for that object!
You can lock a variety of items, including up to 10 pets if you would like to keep them safe.

There is a lot of customisation for the chest protection system, so check out the other tabs for more info :)
Land/Area Claiming
General info about Land Claiming:

Land claiming uses similar menus to our chest protection menus if you have used those before. Lands can be a bit confusing at first, but becomes quite easy to understand!

When you join the server you will not be able to create your Land or claim Land until you have played on the server for 6 hours.

Once you have played for 6 hours you will be able to create your Land.

At first, you will be able to claim up to 6 chunks of land, but every hour you play on the server you will be given an extra chunk which you can claim, you will be able to claim a maximum of 150 chunks!

You can create up to 35 ‘Areas’ within your Land. The main Land is counted as the “default” Area. You cannot delete this area.

If you have land within 1,000 blocks of spawn or the shopping district you are not allowed to ban players from your land. This is due to it causing issues with players using elytra's to fly to spawn/traveling to spawn and being teleported back due to being banned.
The Grave/ Inventory System
By default 'keep inventory' is enabled on the survival server. If you would prefer to keep it off you can use the command /keepinventory off to enable it. If you then want to turn it on again, you can use /keepinventory on. If you have this enabled then you will not loose your stuff when you die.

If you do not have 'keep inventory' turned on then you will have to find your 'grave' on the server to get your stuff back. When you die on the server you will get a death message which shows the coordinates where you died. You can load this up again at any time by typing /grave.

You have 15 minutes to get to your grave once you die, which is 10 minutes longer than the usually time on Minecraft. If you take longer than 15 minutes, the loot will drop and anyone is able to pick it up (if people know this is yours and you are trying to get this, they must give it back though)
When you get to your grave, you can click on it to open it and get all of your items back. If you die to a 'glitch' or error which means you cannot get to your grave then you need to prove this to staff in order to get your stuff back. More info is in our Getting Support section.
Warps
-
You can teleport back to spawn, stalls, the nether hub, and the shopping district with the commands /spawn /stalls /nether or /sd (when running the commands you will have to stay completely still for a few seconds before being teleported) there is also a 10 second delay between using /spawn, /sd and /home
-
You can set your “home” meaning you can do the command /sethome and then teleport back to your home with the command /home (the delays listed above apply to this command as well). Players can set up to 5 homes. These can be created with the /sethome command followed by a name of their choice. For example, to create a first teleport point named ‘One’ the player would type /sethome one to create it. To return to this point later on they would type /home one to warp back

-
You can also use the /wild command which will teleport you somewhere completely random - you can only use /wild once per day though.
Nether Hub
When you go through the nether portal at spawn you will spawn in the "nether hub". This area is a safe space in the nether with tunnels in 4 directions to allow quick movement around the nether region.
